Australian visa is one of the most powerful visas to have. An Australian visa not only allows you to travel to Australia but also offers VISA-FREE travel to a handful of countries. As of 2025, there are 17 countries you can visit with Australian visa.
All Australian visas are electronic visas. Airline staff and immigration officers at the airports may not be familiar with e-Visas or may not know how to verify the authenticity of an Australian e-Visa. So you will have to prepare to do some convincing.
In this guide, I will discuss these 17 countries, eligible nationalities, length of stay, and additional requirements.
If you are here but don’t hold an Australian Visa, read the full guide on various types of Australian visas for tourists, their requirements, eligibility, and application process.

- Work and Holiday Visa (Subclass 462)

Are Australian e-Visas accepted?
Australia issues only e-Visas these days. According to my research, most countries in this list accept e-Visas, but you must present a printed copy of your Australia e-Visa (also called “Visa Grant Notice”), which looks like the sample image above.
That said, there may be some immigration officers or airline staff who may not be familiar with e-Visas and the VEVO system. In such cases, you must take matters into your own hands. You will have to proactively show them how to use the Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) system to verify the authenticity of Australian e-Visas.
***
How to prove if the Australian e-Visa has been used?
Some countries require the Australia e-Visa to have been used at least once to enter Australia. For example, Egypt and Panama require a USED Australia e-Visa.
Australia does not issue physical entry stamps in the passport, so proving that you have used the e-Visa would be challenging.
You can be proactive and request an entry stamp at the immigration each time you enter Australia. This ensures that you have evidence of entry into Australia.
If you don’t have a stamp, you can request international movement records from the Immigration and Citizenship portal. This is a free online form. It can take several days to receive the records.
Now, let’s go ahead and take a look at the countries by region, starting with Asia.
