Tourist Visa
You can apply for a Fiji tourist visa either online or at an embassy abroad. Owing to its relative simplicity, I advise you to submit your application online on the Fiji Immigration website.
There are 2 types of tourist visas:
- Single Entry Visa: Valid for 3 months, costs 95.10 FJD (43$)
- Multiple Entry Visa: Valid for 12 months, costs 189.15 FJD (86$)
Both these visas allow stays of up to 4 months, extendable by 2 months once.
Document requirements
You have to submit the following documents.
- Completed and scanned Visa Application Form
- Passport biodata page
- Two recent passport-sized photos
- Hotel booking confirmation or a letter by a local sponsor if staying with family/friends
- Travel itinerary including flight tickets
- Visa for the next country (if required)
- A recent Bank Statement
- Copy of Sponsor Valid I.D/Passport/ Permit
- Consent letter from the spouse (if traveling alone)
- Consent letter from parents (for 18 years and under) and traveling alone
- Leave letter from the workplace

All tourist visas can be extended by 2 months by filling out the Visitors Permit Extention form and lodging it at the nearest immigration department or online on the Fiji Immigration portal.
You must apply for the extension before your original visitor’s permit expires.

If you have a connecting flight within 3 hours, no visa is required. However, you cannot leave the transit zone of Nadi Airport.
