  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for 6 months
    • One recent passport-sized photograph
  • Visa fee: 30 USD in cash
  • Duration of stay: 30 days, single-entry
  • Additional requirements:
    • VOA is available at Phnom Penh and Siem Reap International Airports and land border crossing from Thailand, Vietnam and Laos
    • Must have at least 2 blank pages in the passport; 1 for the VOA sticker and 1 for stamps
    • Must complete the Cambodia e-Arrival card online within 7 days before arrival

02. Indonesia

  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for 6 months
    • Return or onward flight ticket
  • Visa fee: 500,000 IDR (or its equivalent in any major currency)
  • Duration of stay: 30 days, single-entry
  • Additional requirements:
    • At least 2 blank pages in the passport are required for obtaining VOA
    • Must complete e-Customs Declaration online before or on arrival
    • If arriving at Bali (DPS) airport, you must pay the Bali Tourist Levy online before or on arrival

    • Indian passport valid for 6 months 
    • One recent passport-sized photo
    • Completed VOA application form
  • Visa fee: 40 USD
  • Duration of stay: 30 days, single-entry
  • Additional requirements: Passport must contain at least 2 unused pages for VOA

  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for 6 months upon arrival
    • One passport-sized photograph (3.5 x 4.5 cm)
    • Hotel or accommodation reservation
    • Proof of onward or return ticket
  • Visa fee: 65 USD
  • Duration of stay: 30 days, single-entry
  • Additional requirements:
    • VOA is available only at Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar
    • Require at least 1 blank page in the passport for VOA

  • Visa fee: Free
  • Duration of stay: 30 days, double-entry
  • Additional requirements:
    • VOA is only available at Bandaranaike International Airport
    • VOA fee can only be paid in USD or with credit/debit cards
    • One blank page is required in the passport for entry

  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for 6 months from the date of arrival
    • Return flight ticket or evidence of departure, such as a bus ticket
    • Accommodation reservation
    • Proof of sufficient funds
  • Visa fee: 30 USD in cash
  • Duration of stay: 30 days, single-entry
  • Additional requirements:
    • VOA is available only at Dili International Airport and Dili Sea Port
    • Exact change of 30 USD in cash is required for VOA fee
    • Must have at least 1 unused blank page in the passport for VOA sticker and stamps

08. Burundi

  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for 6 months
    • Validation certificate (generated after submitting the airport entry visa form online)
    • Accommodation reservation
    • Proof of return travel
    • Yellow fever vaccination certificate
  • Visa fee: 90 USD
  • Duration of stay: 30 days, single-entry
  • Additional requirements:
    • Must submit the airport entry visa application form online before arrival in Burundi. A validation certificate is generated on submission, which must be presented to obtain VOA.
    • VOA is available at Melchior Ndadaye (Bujumbura) International Airport and land borders
    • Must have at least 1 blank page in the passport for the visa and stamps

09. Cape Verde

  • Documents required: Indian passport valid for 6 months
  • Visa fee: 2,500 CVE (~26 USD)
  • Duration of stay: 30 days, single-entry
  • Additional requirements: Must complete online pre-registration on the EASE portal at least 5 days before arrival. Registration is 3,400 CVE (~35 USD). If you fail to register, you can pay on arrival at the airport, but the fee can be a lot higher. During the pre-registration, you can also pay the VOA fee of 2,500 CVE (~26 USD) online.

10. Comoros

  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for 6 months
    • Onward or return ticket
    • Hotel reservation confirmation
  • Visa fee: 30 EUR
  • Duration of stay: 45 days
  • Additional requirements: Require at least one blank page in the passport for VOA

11. Djibouti

  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for 6 months
    • Two passport-size photos
    • Onward or return ticket
    • Completed application form
  • Duration of stay: 90 days
  • Additional requirements:
    • VOA is only available at the airport
    • A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if stayed or transited in a yellow fever risk country in the past 6 days before arrival
    • Must have at least 2 blank pages in the passport for VOA sticker and stamps

12. Ethiopia

  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for at least 6 months
    • Return flight tickets
  • Visa fee: 200 USD
  • Duration of stay: 90 days
  • Additional requirements:
    • VOA is available only at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport
    • Proof of yellow fever vaccination is required if arriving from or having spent at least 6 days in a high-risk country before arrival
    • Must fill out the Ethiopia pre-travel form online before arrival
    • One passport blank page is required for obtaining VOA

13. Guinea-Bissau

  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for the intended stay
    • Proof of return or onward ticket
    • Proof of hotel booking
    • Yellow fever vaccination certificate
  • Visa fee: 85 EUR or 120 USD
  • Duration of stay: 45 days
  • Additional requirements:
    • VOA is available only at the Bissau Osvaldo Vieira International Airport
    • One full blank page in the passport is required for the VOA and entry stamp.
    • NOTE: There aren’t many sources or travelers reporting VOA in 2025. Also, if entering via land, I highly recommend getting a sticker visa from a Guinea-Bissau embassy in a neighboring country. You can get the sticker visa from the Guinea-Bissau mission in Ziguinchor or Dakar, Senegal. Getting a sticker visa is quite easy, usually with no documentation and is obtained on the spot. It’s also cheaper than VOA.

14. Madagascar

  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for 6 months
    • Return flight tickets
  • Visa fee: 10/37/45 USD
  • Duration of stay: 15/30/60 days
  • Additional requirements:
    • A yellow fever certificate must be presented when traveling from a high-risk country
    • Your passport must contain at least 1 unused page for VOA

15. Sierra Leone

  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for 6 months after return to the country of origin/residence
    • Proof of accommodation
    • Return flight tickets
  • Visa fee: 80 USD
  • Duration of stay: 30 days, single entry
  • Additional requirements:
    • VOA is available only at Freetown International Airport and land checkpoints of Jendema (Liberia-Sierra Leone) and Gbalamuya (Guinea-Sierra Leone)
    • A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required to enter (if not, you will be subject to vaccination at the airport for a fee of 25 USD)
    • One passport blank page is required for entry-exit stamps

16. Somalia

  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for 6 months
    • Pre-approved VOA approval letter from the local sponsor
    • Valid return ticket
    • Two passport-size photos
  • Visa fee: 60 USD
  • Duration of stay: 30 days, single-entry
  • Additional requirements:
    • To obtain VOA, you must have a local sponsor (citizen, resident, business, etc.) who must apply for a VOA approval on your behalf before your travel to Somalia
    • VOA is available only at Bosaso (BSA), Galcaio (GLK), Garowe (GGR), Kisimayu (KMU), Hargeisa (HGA), Berbera (BBO) and Mogadishu (MGQ) airports.

  • Documents required:
    • Indian passport valid for 6 months
    • Copy of passport data page
    • Proof of onward or return travel
  • Visa fee: 50 USD
  • Duration of stay: 90 days, single-entry
  • Additional requirements:
    • Must have at least 1 blank page in the passport for entry
    • A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if you have been to a high-risk country in the last 6 days before arrival

  • Additional requirements: At least 2 unused pages are required to enter Qatar

    • Must fill out the Online Customs and Immigration Form within 72 hours (3 days) before arrival
    • Must have at least 1 blank page in the passport

    Writing an article on India, atleast have a correct Map of the country. Jammu and Kashmir seems butchered.

      Hi Srikanth! I’m sorry, it was not intentional. Most map generation tools (including the one I use) are US based and use the US version of the Google Maps API. Google has a maps platform for Indian companies but how to use it to generate maps is outside my expertise. I travel, research and write about visas for travelers, so travelers can plan their trips without hassle.
