Updated: February 18, 2025 31 Comments

Georgia e-Visa is quite easy to obtain. It’s a simple application that takes about 10 minutes to fill. You will have to upload your passport scan and a digital photo. Processing takes 5 working days and costs 20 USD.

I have listed out all sections and questions in this step-by-step guide. For each question, there are instructions explaining what exactly needs to be entered. Just follow along with the instructions and screenshots. If you get stuck anywhere, leave a comment below. I will try to help.

IMPORTANT
There is no option to save your progress and return to the saved application at a later point. You must complete the entire application in one go, which would take about 10 minutes.

Hi Khan! I didn’t get your question. Are you asking if you can apply for Georgia e-Visa from Malaysia? Yes, you can apply for Georgia e-Visa from anywhere.

I am applying for my children, the system requiring me to fill out representative option. My inquiry are how to put space in between the first name and middle name. The system would not let me type the space I needed. My details should have spacing because that is how reflected in the passport.

Hi Lin! Yeah, you are right! The representative first name does not allow spaces. Other name-related fields accept spaces, so I’m assuming this is just a technical bug in the form. Since you will not be uploading a copy of your ID or passport, I don’t think it will cause any issues if you write your first and middle names without a space. My recommendation is to write your first and middle names without a space in between. For example, First name: LinGabor, Surname: Garcia.

Hi, Thirumal! Thank you for your steps by step guide on how to apply for eVisa to Georgia. I am from the Philippines and first time to travel to Georgia. I have an invitation from a friend to visit him as a tourist and he will take care of my accommodation for the duration of 30 days to celebrate Christmas and New Year with him. I am employed here in the Philippines. What are the requirements I need to prepare on my end and my sponsor’s end. He will also be sponsoring my flight as a gift. Your response is much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Charry! You do not need any documentation to apply for Georgia eVisa. But you may be asked to show return flight ticket, hotel booking and cash to support yourself when entering the country. Have your friend send you a copy of the return flight ticket so you can show it at the immigration if asked. Also, carry a copy of the invitation letter from your friend and a copy of his Georgian ID if asked. Carry his contact details as well as the immigration may call your friend to confirm. Make sure to carry 500-1,000 USD/EUR in cash as well.

I really appreciate your response. My friend is from Sweden and has a working visa in Georgia and been working and living there for 5 years already. Aside from his invitation letter, what other documents he will send to me? Also, the 500-1,000US/EUR should be in cash or in my debit card? Hope to hear from you soon :)

A copy of his Swedish passport and Georgia work visa should be enough. Most important is his cellphone number because the immigration may call him. The 500/1000 US/EUR must be in cash. They usually don’t ask, but if they ask to see cash, they won’t be convinced with cards or bank apps.

You can select either because you will be visiting your friend but will also be sightseeing. So it doesn’t really matter.

Hello, Thiruma, thank you for your guide on how to apply evisa for Georgia. I will join a group tour in Azerbaijan,Georgia and Armenia on October 7,2024. I am a citizen of the Philippines. I have a valid USA visa which will expire February 21,2032, do I still need to apply for the evisa in Georgia? Thank you for your generous reply.

Hi Antonieta! If you hold a valid US visa, you DO NOT require a visa for Georgia. If you are flying into Georgia, you will not have any issues. But if you will be entering Georgia via land border or by train, the immigration officers are very strict and might ask to see cash in USD and prints of your tour documents. It doesn’t matter you will be using US visa or eVisa, they are very strict and rude at the land borders.

Armenia offer VOA if you hold a US visa, but it can take up to an hour at the border. I suggest applying for Armenia eVisa prior to your trip. It’s super easy to apply and takes only 3 days. Here is the step-by-step guide to apply for Armenia e-Visa.

Azerbaijan does not accept US visa, so you will have to apply for e-Visa prior.

Hi Lia! You can apply from the e-Visa portal itself. No need to go to the embassy. But Indians have to complete a second part of application called DuVerify. After you fill out and submit your e-Visa application, you will receive an email with DuVerify link. You will have to complete the DuVerify form and upload your documents such as bank statements, flights tickets, etc.

Hi Thy! You must select “guardian” in that case because you will be their guardian during the trip. If their parents are also traveling, then their parents must apply the visas for them. If their parents are not traveling, then you can apply for them but select “guardian” as your relationship.

Hi, I am an Indian passport holder residing in Singapore. I would be travelling to Georgia in August. I have a valid South Korean tourist visa. Is that sufficient to let me into the country? P.S – could you elaborate a little on what they mean by visa of another country?

Hi Sasha! Yes, you can use your valid South Korean tourist visa to enter Georgia. You don’t need a separate Georgia visa. All you need is your India passport and South Korea visa.

Hi Thirumal, Good Day. Me and my wife have both Saudi Iqama or resident cards. I just invited my daughter here in Saudi with a family visit visa can she be exempted from a Georgian visa also. Thanks.

Hi Rizal! Yes, if your daughter holds a Saudi family visit visa, then she is also exempt from a Georgian visa.

Hello, I am entering details in form on passport page. As my passport was renewed and place of issue is Dubai. My query is that what should I enter in 3rd question – Country/ Origin. It should be India or UAE?

Hi Ammy! I’m assuming you’re referring to Citizenship/Country, then it would be “India”. Also, if you live in Dubai and have a residence permit from UAE, you do DO NOT NEED to apply e-Visa. You can just use your UAE residence permit and India passport to travel to Georgia.

What if you only hold a tourist visa from UAE, do you still need to apply for the E-visa? And can you travel from Dubai or have to return to the home country?

Hi Victoria! Yes, Georgia accepts UAE visas. Your UAE visa must be valid at the time of entering Georgia. I have always used my US visa to enter Georgia. US visa is stuck in the passport, so it was easy to have them check at the airport. I know UAE issues only e-visas and I’m not sure how difficult or easy to convince the Georgia authorities with an UAE e-Visa print. I have seen many flying from Dubai/Abu Dhabi show their Emirates ID as a proof and pass the Georgia immigration. You can also ask this question in the FB group to see if anyone used their UAE e-visa print to enter Georgia.

Hello, I am an Indian citizen. I have my US B1/B2 visa which is still valid, stuck on old passport for which the pages are exhausted. I now have a new passport – can I still travel to Georgia on this visa?

Hi Megha! Yes. You can use your valid US B1/B2 visa in your old passport to enter Georgia. Make sure to carry both old and new passports when you travel.
